Child is the father of man. This means child is the product of behaviour and culture that he has developed in childhood. My daughter had the habit of biting nails. This habit has been positively handled by involving more in craftworks, origami works ,colouring, putting Rangolie tc. Also by explaining the harm it does to the health. Grandparents are good guide and mentors in handling odd behaviors of the child.

Kids are like raw pot and we can give them the shape whatever we want. Just at times we have to be a little tricky to make them understand some important things. My 6 years old son has a very bad habit of picking his nose. It's unhygienic as well as looks bad. In spite of me asking time and again he was not willing to listen to me. So i found an idea. When he use to pick his nose I use to act to do the same in front of him. And he said," mumma!! it doesn't look nice. I said baby when you do th same I also fell very bad. he siad sorry mumma, I won't do it again now. Than I make him understand that it very unhygienic and people will make fun of you. It's general etiquette we should follow. After that I've never seen him doing this again.

Helping my child to plan his study schedule early & to making it clear, realistic plan of what he want to achieve in each study session. Making sure my child has an environment conducive to effective study: a proper desk in a quiet space in which they will be able to concentrate fully Helping my child to establish a healthy balance in their weekly routine, which includes rest and relaxation as well as dedicated study times. Encourage the child to do something relaxing like reading , drawing or listening to music, rather than studying, in the hour or so before they go to bed.

My 6 years old child had the habit of messing up her room after playing, not following the instructions to keep her things in place, she was also not following good table manners. I was getting frustrated, daily instructing her to do this and that. Then, one day I hit upon a plan, I told my daughter that we will play a game. For that she will have to write down, in a notebook, that she had kept her toys on place, after playing, she had kept her room clean, had cleaned up her plate after eating with no leftovers, had washed her hands after each meal. On continously following the instructions and maintaining her notebook entries, for a week, will make her win her favorite coloring book or story book. This was like bribing her, but this plan works. In the hope of getting a new book every weekend, my daughter started following good cleanliness habits, better table manners. And now, even without any expectation of getting a book, as a reinforcement, she imbibed the good habit of maintaining cleanliness at home and also at all the places where she goes
