#oatsmilletcontest Foxtail Millet Veggies Khichri Ingredients cup foxtail millets cup dal (moong or toor) 2.5 cups water 1 cup mixed veggies (carrots, beans, peas, capsicum) cup methi leaves or to 1 cup spinach / palak 1 tomato small , deseeded (optional) 1.5 tbsp ghee 1 tsp ginger grated tsp cumin / jeera to tsp red chili powder 1 pinch turmeric salt as needed How to make the recipe Wash millets and dal thoroughly until water runs clear. Soak for about 30 mins to 1 hour. The longer they are soaked the quicker and softer they turn. Drain them to a colander. Heat a pressure cooker or pot with ghee. Add cumin and allow them to splutter. Saute ginger until a nice flavor comes out. Add all the veggies including tomato. Saute on a medium flame for 2 to 3 mins. Add red chili powder, turmeric, garam masala and salt. Saute until the tomatoes turn mushy. Then add drained millets and dal. Saute for 2 to 3 mins. Add water and check the salt. Pressure cook on a medium flame for 2 to 3 whistles. I cook for 2 whistles. Fluff up and add a tsp of ghee. Serve millet khichdi with curd,papad and pickle.
Foxtail Millet Veggies Khichri
Ingredients
cup foxtail millets
cup dal (moong or toor)

How to make the recipe
Wash millets and dal thoroughly until water runs clear. Soak for about 30 mins to 1 hour. The longer they are soaked the quicker and softer they turn. Drain them to a colander.
Heat a pressure cooker or pot with ghee. Add cumin and allow them to splutter. Saute ginger until a nice flavor comes out.
Add all the veggies including tomato. Saute on a medium flame for 2 to 3 mins.
Add red chili powder, turmeric, garam masala and salt. Saute until the tomatoes turn mushy.
Then add drained millets and dal. Saute for 2 to 3 mins.
Add water and check the salt.
Pressure cook on a medium flame for 2 to 3 whistles. I cook for 2 whistles.
Fluff up and add a tsp of ghee.
Serve millet khichdi with curd,papad and pickle.

Millet blondie with coffee sauce Preparation time : 10minutes Cooking time : 25 minutes Serve : 4 Ingredients : 1. 1 tbsp nicely cooked millet for crunch 2. 1/4 cup peanut butter 3. 3 tbsp melted butter 4. 1/4 cup brown sugar 5. 1/4 cup all purpose flour 6. 2 tbsp millet flour 7. 1/2 tsp baking powder 8. 1/2 tsp baking soda 9. 1 tsp vanilla essence 10. 2 tbsp desicated coconut For Glazed, 10. 3/4 cup fresh cream 11. 1 tbsp coffee powder 12. 1/2 cup brown sugar 13. 2 tbsp unsalted butter 14. 1 tsp roasted sesame seeds Method : 1. Take melted butter and sugar in mixing bowl and mix till sugar melt 2. Now add Peanut butter and cooked millet and mix well 3. Dry roast the oats and chopped dry fruits separately and keep aside 2. Heat some ghee roast the foxnuts till crisp when done keep aside and chopped in pieses 3. Again heat some ghee and roast the millet flour till pleasant smell comes when done also keep aside 4. Again heat ghee in a pan add carom seeds and turmeric powder when it's roast and pleasant smell comes add dry ginger powder and stir on low flame 5. Now add jaggery and add some water and cook till jaggery melt 6. Now add already cooked millet and stir 7. After a minutes add roasted oats and millet flour and stir on low flame (continue stir to avoid lumps) 8. When it's start to thick add roasted and chopped dry fruits and stir 9. Now add roasted foxnuts pieses and mix and cook on low flame for 2 to 3 minutes 10. When it's done finally add green cardamom powder and mix and swtich of gas 11. Ingredients - 1 cup oats cup whole wheat flour 1 cup water cup ghee 1 tsp salt tsp red chilli powder 1 onion chopped 1 tomato sliced 1 capsicum sliced 1 carrot sliced cup peas 2 tbsp tomato ketchup 2 tbsp chopped coriander Method - To make homemade oats vermicelli grind oats to make oats flour. In a bowl add oats flour, wheat flour and add water to make a hard dough. Now grease the mould with ghee. Fill the dough in a mould. Start to make vermicelli and sundry for 2 - 3 days. In a wok add ghee heat it up and add chopped onion roast slightly. Add all veggies in it. Add salt, red chilli powder, add turmeric powder. Cook it for 10 minutes to make veggies crunchy add tomato ketchup mix well. Keep aside. In a pan roast the vermicelli. In a another pan boil 2 cup water and add 1 cup roasted vermicelli and cook for 10 minutes on low flame. Now transfer the cooked vermicelli into crunchy veggies. Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves. Mix well. Cook for more 3 - 4 minutes on low flame. Now our healthy home made oats vermicelli is ready to serve. Note - You can store these homemade vermicelli for up-to 2 months. #Homemade_Oats_Vermicelli
A very innovative, delicious and healthy recipe made of oats. You can eat it for breakfast.
Ingredients -
1 cup oats
cup whole wheat flour
1 cup water
cup ghee
1 tsp salt
tsp red chilli powder
1 onion chopped
1 tomato sliced
1 capsicum sliced
1 carrot sliced
cup peas
2 tbsp tomato ketchup
2 tbsp chopped coriander
Method -
To make homemade oats vermicelli grind oats to make oats flour.
In a bowl add oats flour, wheat flour and add water to make a hard dough.
Now grease the mould with ghee.
Fill the dough in a mould.
Start to make vermicelli and sundry for 2 - 3 days.
In a wok add ghee heat it up and add chopped onion roast slightly.
Add all veggies in it.
Add salt, red chilli powder, add turmeric powder.
Cook it for 10 minutes to make veggies crunchy add tomato ketchup mix well.
Keep aside.
In a pan roast the vermicelli.
In a another pan boil 2 cup water and add 1 cup roasted vermicelli and cook for 10 minutes on low flame.
Now transfer the cooked vermicelli into crunchy veggies.
Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves.
Mix well.
Cook for more 3 - 4 minutes on low flame.
Now our healthy home made oats vermicelli is ready to serve.
Note -
You can store these homemade vermicelli for up-to 2 months. Make sure their is no moisture left store the vermicelli in an airtight container.

ingredients ------ brown bread slices 10 no capsicum 2 no carrot 2 large size salt to taste oats 2 tbsp thick curd 1 large cup chopped green chili 1 tbsp or to taste chopped coriander 1 tbsp chat masala powder 1 tsp black pepper powder 1 tsp oil or butter as required method ------- wash and grate the carrot. thinly cut the capsicum . Does your child like pizza? Heres a smart recipe to feed them oats pizza with lots of veggies
Ingredients:
For dough:
Oats powdered or Oats flour cup
Wheat flour cup
Salt to taste
For topping:
Tomatoes (blanched, deskinned and grounded to paste) -2 Tbsn
Red chillies (soaked in water and made to paste)-2 Tbsn
Capsicum /Bell peppers(red, yellow, green) sliced - 1 each
Jalapenos few
Paneer (grated) - cup
Oregano powder-1 Tbsn
Onion sliced- cup
Method
1) Make a dough of Powdered Oats and Wheat Flour with adequate water and salt just like the way you dough prepare for Chapatis. Allow it to rest for 20 minutes.
2) Make a round ball out of the dough and flatten it and roll it like chapathi.
3) Heat a tawa, cook the flattened, rolled like chapathi on both sides well- This is the Base for the pizza.
4) Now place the cooked base on a dish, apply the blanched, ground tomato paste, then the chilly paste well on the upper side of the pizza base.
5) Layer it up with colourful capsicum, bell peppers,onions, jalapeos, and on top of all these veggies, just layer it up with the lavish amount of grated paneer.
6) Finally, splash it up with Oregano powder, little bit of salt and bake it in the oven for five minutes.
Your delicious Pizza with a dashing spread of paneer is all set to eat. Yummilicious..!

Ingredients - 1) Oats- 1 bowl, 2) Millet - 5 tablespoon, 3) Rice flour - 4 tablespoon, 4) Olive oil - 5 tablespoon, 5) Broccoli- 1 bunch, 6) Carrot -1, 7) Spinach - cup, 8) Fresh Grated Ginger -1 tablespoon, 9) Roasted cumin powder -1 tablespoon, 10) Green Chilli - 2,3, 11) Salt - to taste 12) Flax seeds - 2 tablespoon. Method - 1) Grind the oats for some time. 2) Now, make a smooth paste of vegetables. In a bowl, add carrot, broccoli,and spinach into it, and add little water and blend them together. 3) Take a big bowl for making a batter. Put oats flour and millet into this bowl, add veggies paste, and all other remaining ingredients and mix properly. 4) Add water to batter to have pouring consistency and put this batter aside for some time. 5) Heat up the pan in medium flame and grease it with oil. 6) Pour spoon full of batter in the pan and gently spread it with the help of spoon. 7) Sprinkle tablespoon of olive oil and let it cook for some time in medium flame. 8) Flip the chilla, and let it cook from another side as well. 9) Now chilla is ready to serve. 10) Serve this with tomato sauce.
