How Fatherhood Reframed My Life: Yusuf Galabhaiwala

Being a parent truly reshaped how I see work and life. Raising children brings a new sense of purpose into one's life. As you become aware of how precious time is, balance becomes everything.

I used to hustle for success; now it's about building something that will mean something. It has to make a difference—not only for my family, but for the world. My priorities changed the day I became a father. Suddenly, everything I did had to align with what I believe in as a parent.

The inspiration for everything I do now came straight from home—from my daughter. One day, she drew a little bee, and that one drawing sparked a journey. It got me thinking about honeybees, about nature, about purity—and somehow, about what I really wanted to build for my family and for others like ours. That bee became a symbol that carried so much more than just a design. It represented a dream.

Even the logo we use now. It's her handwriting. I asked her to write the brand name in different styles, and we chose one and adapted the entire font around it. There’s something beautiful about having your child’s creativity etched into your work. It reminds me every day why I started all of this in the first place.

As the founder of HoneyAllDay, I wanted to create something that reflected my values as a parent—wholesome, simple, and nourishing. I wanted my children to have healthy, natural foods—that was my dream as a parent. Food that would give them energy and creativity. Of course, there was a need for products that not only nourish but could be easily taken by busy families. This journey was born from a personal need—to give my kids the best I could, and to make life a little easier for other parents trying to do the same.

Balancing work and parenting isn’t simple, but it’s all about prioritizing. I made a deliberate move to be more intentional with my time, whether at work or home with the kids. Family time is non-negotiable. Whether it’s reading them a story or just sharing a meal together, I position myself to be there.

Work can be tiring, and there are days when it feels like I’m running on empty. But I keep reminding myself—this is all to build something that, one day, will give me more time with them. That’s the long-term goal. And honestly, even now, I wouldn’t trade these moments for anything.
