Minnu complains of a tummy ache all day. But her tummy isn't aching at all! So, what's going on?

Minnu

It was morning. Minnu Rabbit's mamma was hopping about in a rush to prepare things for the day before she sat in front of her laptop.

Minnu was playing with her toy doctor set.

Suddenly, little Minnu called out, "Ma, my tummy hurts."

Ma looked at Minnu and hopped toward her. Hop! Hop! Hop!

Minnu looked fine.

"Looks like someone needs a tummy rub," Ma said.

She took some oil and rubbed it on Minnus's tummy, singing their tummy rub song:

Rub, rub, rub

Let's rub Minnu's tummy ache away!

Minnu laughed and sang along. Ma then gave Minnu some jeera water to drink.

Soon it was afternoon, and Minnu was happily playing with her toy bunny. When Ma passed by, Minnu quickly held her tummy with her hands.

"Ma, look! My tummy's hurting again!" she squealed, pretending to be sick.

Ma had to get lunch ready. She hopped toward Minnu, this time with a magnifying glass held firmly in her hands.

Let me take a look.

Ha ha ha! Minnu laughed.

Now, it was evening. Ma was getting some snacks ready for their evening playtime. Minnu was solving her jigsaw puzzle.

When she saw Ma approaching, she held her tummy and cried out, "Ma, my tummy's hurting again!"

Minnu was now pretending to cry. Ma hopped to Minnu with an understanding smile.

"Well, it looks like your tummy ache won't go away," Ma said.

"Ma, maybe Uncle Alfie can help. I always get better after meeting him and talking to Poochi the parrot."

"Oh, sweetie. It's not safe to go out right now. But I'll check if we can speak with Dr Alfie over a video call."

"Yes!" Minnu said.

"Let me see if he is available," Ma said.

Ma hopped to her room with the phone in her hand. When she hopped back, Minnu saw Uncle Alfie's clinic on Ma's phone screen. Someone with a blue coat was standing and waving at her. She knew who it was.

Uncle Alfie! Minnu was delighted. "Why are you wearing a blue raincoat? Is it raining in the hospital? Why are you wearing those gloves? Are you gardening? What is the face shield for? Are you traveling to outer space?"

Dr Alfie Rabbit laughed.

"Ha ha ha, Minnu. This is to keep the coronavirus away from me and the people I meet. Ma said you have a tummy ache."

"Ya, I think I'm feeling fine now. When can I come to play on the slide in your clinic? How is Poochi, the parrot nurse?"

"We are all good, Minnu. And we will meet very soon! You know we are fighting against the coronavirus disease, right? Once we win the fight, we can all meet again." Remember to drink lots of water, eat fruits and veggies, brush twice a day, take a nice bath and sleep tight," Minnu recited.

"And wear your mask if you have to go out. And wash your hands with soap once you are back to keep all the germs away," Dr Alfie added.

"Okay!" Minnu said.

"Alright, Minnu, got to go!" Dr Alfie waved at Minnu.

Then, Minnu and Ma happily finished their snacks and began to play.
