Hello wonderful people! As we all know, the United Nations has declared 2023 the International Year of Millets, so let's bring this back in our daily diet in an authentic way. And let's know its prominence and nutritional values that are beyond any nutritional parameter.

I hope it helps you in an informative way. Are you ready to include the miraculous millets in your daily diet? Will love to hear about that. Do share your experience of using millets.

Very nice Preethi , Truly millets are one of the finest creations of God ....Here in Karnataka we prepare Ragi Mudde (Ragi or finger millets). There is saying in Karnataka " ರಾಗಿ ತಿಂದವನಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ರೋಗವಿಲ್ಲ" This means One who eats Ragi is free from any diseases...I remember feeding Ragi Manni to my children after 6 months .It is the best food recommend by doctor instead of other processed food .I also use Foxtail millet , Barnyard rice 🌾 in my diet .

India is the largest producer of millets and accounts for 20% of global production and 80% of Asia’s production.Millets are a good source of fibre, protein, vitamins, and minerals.Knowing all these benefits, somehow I missed this in my groceries for many years.
But very recently included them in my groceries and I'm preparing porridge, laddus, dosa, adai,a few to name.
