Are marks the only measure of your childs abilities? Share your thoughts!

No, marks are not only the measure of children abilities. I have read a wonderful statement on Test, it goes like this "There is a difference between school exam and life exam, in school exam we learn first and then we give test whereas in life exam test is taken first and lesson learnt afterwards". I firmly believe in this statement. Test, marks are lessons for improvement not measurement for any child's abilities. A child progress at their own pace. If child is compared and pressurised for marks that child looses self-confidence and it highly impacts on his/her pratical way of living life. In contrast, if a child is accepted, motivated, giving direction by solving his/her studies related problem, he/she can confidently deals with every exams that life offers. Hence, child's abilities are tested in life exam where there school exams are the stepping stone to boost their confidence level.
