skin allergies are common in kids?

My niece she's 7 years old she often gets skin allergies mainly on her elbows & near lips, it starts with the skin itching & turns black color. please suggest what need to be done? ... more

This could be eczema which is a form of sensitive skin where skin becomes dry and itchy in patches. It could have a specific basis for allergy or it could be a general sensitivity. She will most likely need good and regular moisturising of skin, sparing use of very gentle soaps. All this will be with consultation with a pediatrician or a dermatologist. Please get her seen.
