Dalia/broken wheat is great for babies who are just starting on meals. you can start introducing dalia for 7 to 8 months. Dalia is very nutritious and provides a lot of energy.
Precautions To Take While Feeding Dalia To Babies -
1. Only give dalia to babies after introduce them to other solid foods like basic fruits and vegetables.
2. When preparing dalia, make sure the texture of it is smooth and consistent. It should be easy to swallow and digest.
3. start with only 1-2 teaspoons of dalia for infants, per feed. Slowly increase the quantity as weeks pass.
4. However, if the baby has a problem with digesting solid food, it is best to wait until they are 10-12 months old, to ensure that their stomach can handle it.
5.If your child is not 1year old then you will cook it with water only.

Thank you so much for sharing tips on introducing dalia into the diet of toddlers. It will definitely be very much helpful for parents with toddlers.
But dalia or broken wheat is not a type of millet. Some examples of millet-based semi-solid foods for toddlers are ragi porridge and bajra khichdi.
