Few Puzzles

I am Arathi Vishwanath, a mother of two girls, and I want to share my opinion of how gadgets changed the interests of my children.

Since the time when I was young, I would wait to get new issues of magazines and was very curious to solve the puzzles page. It encouraged me to get books with different creative puzzles when my elder daughter was in lower grades, and I was sitting with her to solve them. She was also very curious to get the solution to all the puzzles. It was the time when there was less usage of gadgets like computers were used mostly for doing any documents or excel sheets etc….and TV for watching mythological programs and to view some quiz programs. But as the days are passed, I could see that my younger daughter was less exposed to such activities as she was getting many activities from school, but most of them were to prepare videos that caused her to use more gadgets. These days children are more involved with gadgets to their school projects and homework. Even we parents are forgetting about assigning them with different puzzle activities that challenge them and allow them think logically.

So I thought to prepare few puzzles, that can be taken as printouts, and parents can sit with them to solve. Each one of them are unique and will give task to the kids to tickle their brain.

So let us start a resolution to solve these activities to keep ourself free from gadgets at least for sometime. I willl upload one or two puzzles everyday from today.
