We know that being a dad is one of the most important jobs in the world, and every day we see you rocking multiple roles. Are you spending less time on yourself, as you spend most of the time taking care of the needs of your family? Well, if you're still wearing those high-waist, stone-washed jeans and bulky running shoes from the 90s, dad fashion needs an upgrade!
Fret not, we have just the thing for you. Here are a few tips on keeping your choices classy yet comfortable as you shop for Diwali. Also, don't miss out on what designer Ashwin Thiyagarajan has to say about keeping up with the trends.
We asked a few dads about how their fashion choices changed after becoming a dad, and here's what they said.

For all the dads looking for some fashion trends and styling ideas, here are a few tips to spice up your wardrobe.
Tight shirts draw attention to that belly and restrict your movements, breathing, and blood circulation. So, ditch those tight shirts! Wearing the right size is all it takes to take your look from ordinary to fashionable. Opt for the next size if you have put on extra weight, or visit a tailor to customize the shirt or trousers to fit your body.
Avoid: Tight or oversized shirts and T-shirts, clothes with large logos
Jeans are a wardrobe essential. Just get a pair that fits you perfectly. Now that's easier said than done! Try out a few pairs in various styles and from different brands, and once you have something you like, get the alterations done by the store's in-house tailor (or your awesome tailor), for a perfect fit. Young dads can try straight-leg jeans with a low-rise, or slim-fit jeans for a lean look. Older dads can opt for relaxed-fit jeans and straight-leg jeans with a high rise.
Avoid: Bootcut, ripped, baggy and slouchy jeans
Be it shirts or trousers, choosing the right brand matters. Try different labels, both high-end and street style, till you feel you have zeroed in on the right brands that offer you the kind of clothes you like. This way, shopping is also quicker and easier.
Keep a wardrobe of clothes in neutral colors like white, gray, olive green and navy for a classy look. But don't be afraid of colors. If you enjoy them, wear bold reds, bright blues, mellow pinks, or vibrant greens, depending on the occasion. Coming to patterns, opt for micro-dots and checks like plaids over huge patterns, to enhance your look. Stripes? Yes, of course. They'll never go out of fashion!
Reserve your ties and pocket squares for formal gatherings. If you're going to wear a tie, pick one that's darker than your shirt. Choose a watch to match the occasion. A rugged sports watch looks perfect for casual events, while an analog watch is a great idea if you're heading to a formal event. If you wear glasses, choose a pair that frames your face perfectly.
While chunky sneakers can offer the best comfort, don't pair them with all your outfits. Opt for a pair of comfortable, stylish loafers or slip-ons when you have to catch up with the kids. Brogues can give you a dapper look at formal and semi-casual events.
What better way to up your style quotient than taking a leaf out of your favorite star's wardrobe choices? From neat kurtas and suits for weddings to smart and casual outfits for lunch with the family, shop the look of your favorite celebrities!
While a classic white shirt and faded blue jeans can always do the trick for you, don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and make a few bold choices. Enjoy the freedom of choice, make mistakes, ask your critics (your kids, of course), and choose clothes that make you feel comfortable and well-groomed.

So, dads, it's time to step out of the cozy dad shoes and step into the limelight. Next time you dress up, make heads turn with your sense of style. Let's see you rock the cool dad role by also looking like one!
