World Environment Day: Free printable activities for 3-to 9-year-olds

A day like World Environment Day (June 5) presents the perfect opportunity to discuss environment-related issues like climate change, conservation, and the importance of mindful consumption of resources with kids.

The theme for World Environment Day 2022 is “Only One Earth” while the focus is on “living sustainably in Harmony with Nature.”

Here is a great resource for you to get started with talking to children about why it is essential to save the planet for the future generation.

This printable has activities segregated by age and has been specially designed to help children think about and understand the concept of sustainable living.

Do these activities with your children and also encourage them to share these with their friends. They can even take it to their school.

The activities include coloring pages, environment-themed cut-and-keep flash cards, nature-themed alphabet outlines, and a Three Rs poster to list out the things kids can do to care for the environment.

There is also a craft out of waste magazine pages and “I Love My Planet” badges to reward your child.

So, what are you waiting for? Download the free printables and spend some meaningful time with your kids!
