New mothers should be provided all the necessary information about the benefits of breast feeding to the baby and how it helps to prevent incidences of breast cancer in women. Also, breastfeeding is the best way to shed the extra pregnancy fat build up.

Breastfeeding should not be restricted. We need space in public places where mothers can easily feed their babies as and when required. I have seen ladies sitting in washrooms to feed their little ones. That's not a place to feed your baby. Why should it be. That's something very natural. Why not an area where this can be done. Govt should initiate the project of making it compulsory for malls and public places for rooms. As they are creating awareness about breastfeeding.

@Shabnam Desai

Yes, Shabnam. WHO has shared a post on LinkedIn on the occasion of World Breastfeeding Week, which very succinctly says that creating feeding-spaces in public as well as in office-spaces will serve as a great support to women.
Very valid point put across by you!

I believe breastfeeding is not only an activity that has health benefits for both mother and baby, but it also helps in creating a beautiful bond between the two. The skin-to-skin touch is extremely essential and makes the baby feel secure.
As new mothers the fear of sagging breasts or involuntary milk-ejection may prevail, but these are temporary. Breastfeeding is indeed blissful!

Breast feeding, it's a mind game. If you think u can, your hormones play the game positively. If you think you cannot they play negatively. If you have positive thoughts the led down refluxes release oxytocin which is the major hormones that helps releasing milk. If you are stressed this hormone is suppressed by adrenalin in the brain to decrease the amount of milk. When a mother nurses, not only her oxytocin levels increases but her body makes more receptors, permanently
increasing her feelings of love;and this is a cycle your baby in turn does the same. So more latching more milk.. If your baby's pee count is six to seven times a day and gaining adequate weight then it's a sign of well fed baby.
Include ajwain, cumin seeds, fennel seeds, garlic, turmeric, pepper, fenugreek, bottle guard, drumstick, Oatmeal, carrots, barley to improve the milk supply

More and more stories should be shared about how the mother has overcome the hassles of breastfeeding or dealt with the pain.
I was 21 doing my Masters when I gave birth to my daughter. I had always been reluctant of giving formula milk to her. My husband gifted me breast pumps and I used to express and store milk while I was away. So this way my daughter was exclusively breastfed for 6 months. Happy Mommy=Healthy Baby
