Millets in Different Flavours

When my son was 6 months old i started giving him Ragi sheera as his one meal. Millets are easy to digest and ragi being loaded with iron is great for growing babies. 

Some amazing millets ideas / recipes that you can try for your toddlers:-

1. Ragi sheera

Ingredients

Ragi flour- 2 tbsp, ghee- 1 tbsp, jaggery- according to taste

Method

Dry roast ragi flour for 2 mins on medium flame. Add ghee to it and saute for some time, when the aroma starts add jaggery to it and stir till the sheera starts leaving the pan sides. Serve it when warm.

2. Bajra Bhakri Pizza

Ingredients

Bajra bhakri- 1, chopped veggies of your choice ( tomato, red yellow green capsicum, onion, corn, etc..), 1 tsp oil, cottage cheese (paneer), tomato ketchup

Method

Prepare a Bajra bhakri and keep it aside. Chop all the veggies in small pieces, saute in oil and semi cook them. Spread tomato ketchup on bhakri and add veggies on it. Add shredded cottage cheese on top and serve hot. Kids love this pizza. Its easy to make and healthy too.
