The sounds and smells of the kitchen hold a lot of fascination and wonder for children. You would have noticed your child often wandering into the kitchen and enquiring about what you are doing. At times, your little one may also express his desire to help you out.
It is a good idea to take advantage of your child's curiosity and initiate him into cooking. Also, it's a joy for parents to watch their children cooking. If you pick the right recipes to cook with kids, both of you can enjoy the process and it can be a great stress-buster as well.
Cooking with kids
Cooking with kids has its share of benefits. Here are a few of them:
Children learn to appreciate what they make with their own hands. So, if you have a fussy eater at home, it is more likely your little one will try out new foods if you engage him in the cooking process.
Cooking is an important life skill; so the earlier your child learns it, the better it would be for her.
Your child can improve her vocabulary and develop communication skills through this exercise.
Mixing, pouring and other activities in the kitchen would not only teach your child about measurements but improve her hand-eye co-ordination.
Cooking with your child would not only bring both of you closer, but also create long-lasting memories.
Here are some fun recipes to cook at home with your little one.

Spread a generous amount of butter on one side of the bread slices. Place them on a large plate to resemble a round shape (like a pizza).
Cover the slices with generous dollops of the pizza sauce.
