It's normal for children to feel anxious during the first weeks of daycare. Here are some tips:

  1. Short Goodbyes: Keep drop-offs brief and reassuring. A quick hug and a confident goodbye help them adjust faster.
  2. Consistent Routine: Stick to a predictable schedule to create a sense of security.
  3. Comfort Item: Send a favorite toy or blanket to ease separation anxiety.
  4. Stay Positive: Your calm and confident attitude reassures them that daycare is a safe place.
  5. Communicate: Talk to the daycare staff for updates and tips—they are experienced in helping children settle.

It takes time, but most kids adjust in a few weeks. Stay patient and supportive!

For a week pls spend sometime in the daycare with the child to ensure security. Let him build a bond with a single adult first so the child prefers that adult over you in daycare. Pls monitor how long the child is crying after you leave. Is he able to get diverted to other activities? This is quite common, dont worry just check whether the period of crying is reducing with days.
