Diwali is a festival of love, celebration, colours & lights. It is the perfect occasion to enjoy at the most with your family. I love to celebrate this festival with my all family members by decorating diyas, making colorful rangolis & faral. It is always said that eating & cooking together, always increases love. Every year we all family members comes together to make best faral & sweets for the festival. Preparation of faral is like togetherness of all family members. Diwali is the perfect occasion for my family to make happy memories that will be cherishes forever.

I still remember my first Diwali after marriage. I was very scared as I didn't prepare anything special for Diwali and my in-laws were visiting me on Diwali. I and my husband used to live in 2 BHK which was not very beautiful and well furnished as we shifted to a new place only two months ago and we were not very much financially stable. So on the day of dhanteras I and my husband visited market and brought some utensils for our home and gifts for my in laws. I was struggling with decoration of house and couldn't sleep properly. My husband suggested me to go for a walk so that I can feel better. On my return I saw my husband was doing something on roof. I didn't mind and started cooking food. At night when I went out of home to buy vegetables I saw my home was lightning like a beautiful sky with stars. My husband bought those little Chinese lights to decorate our little home. My in-laws were very happy and blessed me a lot. In the night my neighbor bought some home made sweets for my family and invited us for dinner and we too joined millions of other Jaipur-iets blasting fireworks and firecrackers in the night sky

The festival of lights - diwali, fills brightness in our lives. The pre - Diwali vibe gives excitement .The preparation of sweets and savoury, cleaning of our home, shopping for the festival and everything brings so much of joy. Diwali is a festival where family gets reunited . The sweets that we share among relatives sometimes adds sweetness to faded relationships, the gifts that we exchange among friends and loved ones brings a smile and the Diyas that are lit makes our house a beautiful home. Most importantly Diwali gives us time to spend with our beloved family. Me and my mom shared so much of laughter and love while we prepared different kinds of dishes for the festival. Me and my little brother decorated our home together creating precious memories, my grandma told us the significance and story behind each day of deepavali in detail. Our Diwali starts with dhanteras and on that day we purchase gold jewelry as it is believed that buying gold on that day will increase prosperity in life. On second day we just made preparations for Lakshmi Pooja which was on the next day. On the third day we worshipped goddess Lakshmi by Lakshmi sthapan at home and also had a Pooja in our office space. We follow a ritual where we have an Aarti function and in return ladies get gifts or cash. We enjoyed a lot during this aarti on day 4. This Diwali was also a special one for me. May your lives be full of prosperity , health and happiness.

First of all Happy Diwali team . Diwali is the celebration of light over darkness ,good over evil. From childhood days I used to wait for this grand Festival to Enjoy with my family and friends. I can remember those early days when my Mom and grandma used to Cook sweet dishes from coconut for Diwali and draw Rangoli with flower petals before the altar of God. My other two uncles used to come home during this time with 10days vacation and we little members enjoyed with great pomp. Maa used to prepare earthen Diyas from clays and we used to decorate our home with those handmade lamps and candles. From bursting fireworks to distributing sweets, our Diwali was a grand celebration time for our grand family of 28 persons. Really miss those happy days but such memories are always alive in my mind.

Diwali is the festival that brings good luck to all. The lighted diya shouldn't only enlighten the environment but also has to shed the darkness of poverty and ignorance. This year I will celebrate eco friendly Diwali. It is our responsibility to encourage others to celebrate an environmentally safe and secured Diwali. 1) This year I bought sapling and planted it. It will help in making the vicinity green. It is a best way of eco-friendly celebration. 2) Replace electrical decor with earthen diyas and lanterns. I decorate diya myself. They not look beautiful but also an eco-friendly decor option. 3) The Diwali is incomplete without Rangoli. Use natural colors. Instead of colours i will use flowers and leaves to create a beautiful rangoli. I celebrated every festival with my family members and friends. Individual celebration does not give me happiness. So everyone should celebrate festival with family members. In this way we can celebrate Diwali and keep our earth safe and pollution free

I have celebrated Diwali after a long period of 3 years with my family n loved ones. I use chemical free rangoli to make coloured designs at the entrance to have that special diwali festive glitters. these rangoli powders were made with rice flour, turmeric, indigo and other such natural ingredients so I should make it with orphanage kids I love to spend time with them n color diyas n decorate them n love to make ghujias for kids n eat them together n giving them clothes, sweets n other useful things from my saving money which I saved by not bursting crackers n from other sources n then celebrate diwali with my family n loves ones by clicking selfies n taking pics as we all love it .This Diwali is memorable for me as I met everyone after a longtime n also celebrated birthday of my brother so that was triple celebrations time for all of us as we all get united after a long period so there was joy of happiness everywhere as I believe in spreading happiness :) and this diwali is the best diwali I have celebrated till date.

Diwali I always prefer Green Diwali as I do not want pollute our environment and I never like to spend money on crackers. It's better to buy some goodies for less fortunate people around and make their festival bright. Let's we all make this Diwali the Brightest for all. I wish to bring happiness, joy and smile in life of people who are less fortunate and can not afford to celebrate festivals or lonely in their lives. Share some sweets ,clothes and books +gifts .Blessings they give you in return are priceless and make my life brighter and better. People who are on duty in Diwali also so that we can celebrate our festival safely, thanks to all #DiwaliMemories - I still treasure those childhood memories in my heart when our big joint family started Diwali preparations almost before fortnight ,cleaning whole house and surrounding area as well ,rangoli ,cooking delicacies with grandmaa and get new clothes for all whether it's household helper or workers in father's factory and all cousins etc. Diwali Puja with family, friends and neighbours. Relishing prasad together was so much fun Police,Nurses Doctors and Watchman. Express your gratitude to them . I believe Happiness and joy get doubled up when share them with others Diwali is festival of lights ,let's enlighten the lamps of love ,peace and harmony and end up darkness of ignorance and intolerance Say no to crackers to avoid air and noise pollution Light up traditional earthen diyas with mustard oil instead of wasting electricity on extra lights for festival Wrap your gift items in newspapers or recycled papers instead of plastic wrappers Use natural colours and flowers for Rangoli.

Our diwali celebration began with painting of diyas at home 15 days in advance. Then we made sweets at home 3-4 days prior to diwali. The 5 days of diwali kept us busy drawing rangoli, decorating the house with lights and flowers. The main laxmi puja day is for prayers and meditation. And finally lighting some sparkles and clicking snaps. We had a wonderful diwali with friends and family. Sharing here a few captured memories

We together is a family irrespective of members in counting ~~~!!? It was also those times when on the five days occasion of Diwali my house was full of hustle bustle of all close relatives whether from my maternal side or paternal side !! Now, the times have changed with more priorities to humdrum of life as also the childhood excitement & celebrations taken backseat with age & busy schedules !! Actually, Diwali festivity & shopping starts from Karwachauth fast & puja meant for husband's welfare & long life, then just after a gap of 4 days Ahoi fast & pooja performed for the happiness & longevity of child. Our Indian tradition is great which through different occasions & festivals give majority, respect & love to all whether a husband, a child, in-laws, ancestors, animals etc.

Making rangoli designs with flowers has always been our favourite Diwali moments .Flower rangoli can make any place bright, colourful and vibrant and attracts everyone's attention. My diwali celebration would be incomplete without the traditional rangoli to welcome my guests. Every year I just look forward to make pretty designs on threshold, in puja room, and in living room with local flowers to add colour and warmth to my celebration. I never decorate my home with non-biodegradable objects like plastics and thermocol. Instead I would love to adorn my home with fresh flowers, artisan hand made earthen ware and diyas. This way I will be helping the ecology and as well as helping the poor artisan families

My earliest memories of Diwali include the taste of sweets, the smell of mustard oil diyas, and the sizzle of softly-crackling sparkles and anars. The dancing flames of diyas lit up faces with a soft glow and we mingled with a sense of joy and warmth. The festival was a time of relaxation and happiness, meeting friends and exchanging small gifts. It is totally relaxed family affairs with good food and friends. I still follow the same way to enjoy the festival but with a difference. I never follow the crowd. Instead I celebrate quiet and conscious diwali with my friends and relatives. To me Diwali means celebration and togetherness. It gives me chance to meet my friends and family. My house gets filled with buzz, laughter, giggles and hearty conversations. Those happy times really made me forget all my worries and tension. I cook elaborate meals including traditional desserts and snacks, spread happiness with less fortunate people, decorate my home with earthen diyas that I bought from roadside vendors and do rangoli with fresh flowers. Both my daughter and me love to do rangoli . My Diwali would be incomplete without the traditional rangoli to welcome guests. We make simple designs with fresh flowers, leaves and earthen diyas. This way I encourage my little one to celebrate clean and green Diwali.

?Happy Diwali? Thank You So Much Dear Team #ParentCircle.Com For This Wonderful Contest ?????? We all know that Diwali is festival of lights means from the darkness to the light of knowledge. In Sanskrit the ancient Saints wrote on Vedas . Asoto Maa Sadgamoyo Tamoso Maa Jyotirgamoyo . It is the time of Diwali at my home I just pick the blessings of elders and love from others. I fill myself with happiness and which blossom plenty of flowers in my heart and shower with the rainbow of happiness because on the day of Diwali my home fulfilled with the enchanting sweet murmur of my friends , relatives and neighbours. They usually celebrate Diwali along with me with Eco-friendly things. I used organic colour for making Rangoli .Decorated our home with fresh flowers and clay diyas .I usually made handmade Mithai and Snacks for my family , friends and street childrens and distributed these among them. For that reason a spray played on the eyes of the childrens who came to my house and the street childrens and which spray refreshed me the whole year. On this Diwali Day, we wish our friends, relatives, neighbours and we usually pray to the God for bringing the happiness and light of knowledge for all.

I wish that we have planned to play green Diwali in our whole area and certainly it becomes whole city and than whole nation to celebrate green Diwali.
My wishes for diwali is to stay healthy life a stress free life accept all the problems as challenges and move forward to conquer it with enthusiasm.
It would be a perfect celebration with families abs relatives sweet with rangoli in front of house to lantern at roof to diyas decorations all around home and burning a lantern diya at night. This diwali add colours Crackers add noise and Rangoli add colours so Avoid noise Add colour.
Wishing everyone a prosperous green Diwali

Always I love to celebrate Diwali with Eco-friendly way. Because it helpful for health and environment.. My thought Diwali are originally an eco-friendly festival and I want to celebrate it in its authentic way. Firstly use local soil made Diya's, and use mustard oil.. avoid plastic use material, Stop burning Fire crackers it very harmful for Our environment and it's smoke and toxic gases most liable for air pollution. Mostly birds, animal affected harmful attack by crackers gases, Use led power saving light and Candle light for light up our house and avoid unnecessary and colorful light and consump energy. Our responsibility save electricity power because it's already overloaded.Use Rangoli by use natural colour and don't use chemical colour..Plant sapling and take promise for make our environment green , take promise for save water in future .. It's not only for Diwali , remember it for daily life for make our environment eco-friendly..

Diwali is the most important festival of Hindus. It is celebrated in the honour of Lord Rama who returned after killed Ravana with Mata Sita n Laxmana after fourteen years of Exile. Diwali is the most important festival of Hindus. We celebrates Diwali with full of Joy and Happiness, Excitement and full dhamaal with Sweets Toys n Crackers and best Wishes giving to each other on this we use Crackers and harmful colours for making rangoli which is not good for our health n our olders n childs.
My Diwali is go green I love Plant Trees on this day along with my friends we plant Trees toghether for Save Environment and our Life. Its very nice. My Some Steps Can Celebrate My Safe n Green Diwali-
(1) I Celebrates Diwali with Plant Trees
For Save The Environment and for Save life. They give us oxygen which is our life and trees protect us from Pollution.
(2) Dont use Crackers bcoz Crackers have harmful effects to our life its smoke is injurious to health of all So be safe from Crackers.
(3) I Celebrates Diwali with Poor peoples and orphanage childs who have no families to give them Sweets, Toys n Blankets to them on the road or at their Place to make them happy n give them best wishes.
(4) Don't use Plastic bags. Use only jute/Clothes bags. Use diyas n same product instead of harmful lighting and other activities.
(5) Avoid using harmful colours for making rangoli and other activities use only natural colours.
We Can make Diwali Happy with Some Steps. Festival Celebration is Good bt T ake Care of life is very important.
I want to Celebrate Diwali with My friends , Family n with Orphanage poor childs.

Diwali is the Time of the year when you shower your love on near & dear one to rejuvenate your close relationships. This year I am going to celebrate #Diwali not just with my family members but with people who work for us all year round. This Diwali I want that that this Diwali should not only Happy Diwali for the rich people but for the poor ones too by donating blanket to road side people and distributing sweets to poor kids to see sweet smile on their faces. 1. No crackers at all 2. Celebrate #Diwali not just with family members but with people who work for us all year round. 3. Make this Diwali should not only Happy Diwali for the rich people but for the poor ones too by donating blanket to road side people and distributing sweets to poor kids to see sweet smile on their faces 4. Try avoiding chemical colors and instead of it use herbs to make rangoli 5. Avoid using lights instead of it use earthen pots or diyas so that you can make this diwali colorful for others too
