Learning a language has become a popular hobby for children in recent years. As language learning has many benefits and the resources to learn any language are accessible, parents are also keen to let their children learn a new language

A study published in the journal Cognition in 2020 found that children who learn a second language performed better on working memory and attention control tasks.
Learning A New Language Can Delay Alzheimer’s Studies suggest that learning a new language slows down the aging of the brain and also helps delay dementia in old age. In May 2020, John Grundy, assistant professor of psychology at Iowa State University, and others published an article titled ‘Does bilingualism protect against dementia? A meta-analysis’ in Psychonomic Bulletin and Review. Their study looked at whether being able to speak two languages can delay Alzheimer’s disease. The researchers found that the answer is yes. |
Learning a language, be it foreign or a language spoken in a different part of our country, has become easier and more accessible, as many online tools are available.
