Teacher or a guru is a mentor. Many teachers come and go in our lives. We meet many teachers in our educational journey. But some teachers leave there mark in our lives. They change our lives completely. Student life is golden life. I cannot forget my school days. There are many happy and unforgettable moments in my school life. A person in any phase of his life always remembers his school life , even after growing old. We can never forget it. We spend our whole life remembering sweet memories of our school life. One such teacher whom I met was my Kannada teacher Mr. Shankar Bhatt sir. He was a man with immense knowledge, active, dynamic, influential and impressive. I learnt so much from him. He had vast knowledge. His class was so interesting. He used to give so many examples, tell short stories and make the class interesting. For me maths was a tough subject and I used to struggle a lot in maths.Though a Kannada teacher Mr. Shankar Bhatt sir seeing my struggle in maths offered to teach me maths. At first I hesitated first being maths a tough subject and to learn maths from a Kannada teacher. But in the first class itself he taught me maths and its formulas in such a way that it felt so easy and maths became my favourite subject. I improved so much in maths that I scored 94 out of 100 in my 10 standard final exams. Hatsoff to u sir Will never forget you!

Belief for him
As a teacher, you have been assigned responsibility of taking care of children. Children, who are handed over to you, with a lot of trust because you are a second mother to them. You are building the future; you create what will create the world. I was excited to be part of this wonderful mission with a vision to be a friend, philosopher and guide to the children.
As I entered my class, the first set of beautiful souls were sitting on benches and staring at me with a smile. I was nervous and excited too. I was getting into a new routine and meeting new friends. I discovered that each child was completely different. One of those new friends was a boy who was a little different than others, physically and socially. He was a boy with Downs Syndrome. He was special and special because he was always smiling. He goes to recess with me as he sometimes is bullied by other children and not able to understand the rules.
I notice the holes in every shirt he has as he anxiously chews the collar. I notice the innocence on his face when I teach and he struggles to understand what I am teaching. I notice him when he tries to ask something from me. I notice him getting stuck in the work assigned to him. I notice him when he stands near the playground waiting to play. I also notice the kids making fun of him. I then realize that he doesnt understand the kids mocking at him, all he sees the laughter on their face and he smiles back. These epiphanies dont hit me at all at once, but they are coming just the same.
I saw a classmate holding his hands, my eyes filled with tears and my heart filled with joy. He made his first friend. After this day, I am sure the friend list would increase. For today, I am just going to hold an and cherish the image of he and his friend holding hands, blissfully unaware of the differences. All I have is a strong belief that soon this boy would have many friends to cherish.

My message is dedicated to my class teacher as well as my geography teacher #MrKuldeep). Dear Teacher, You are my teacher, my strength and my support. You made me believe in me. I remember the first day you came to our class and few students including me played a prank on you and you got hurt. But you didnt complain to the principal even after her asking. That day only you developed a special respect in my heart. I still remember you asked me to participate in the interschool contest but I was very nervous because I use to stammer a lot. You use to say, there are 3 solutions to every problem. Accept it, change It or leave it. If you cant accept it, change it, if you cant change it leave it. Its upto you. Being a teacher I ask you to accept it as a challenge. It was your belief that I would be able to grab the 1st position and mad you feel proud. And receiving trophy from your hands just doubled my happiness. Thanks for believing me, pushing me to achieve the best. Thank you teaching me to read and write and to distinguish whats wrong and right. You taught me to dream and soar as a kite. Thanks you for being my guide, mentor and light. Today what Im I owe to you!!!! Your loving student. Few lines for him:: Shiksha ka gahra samandar hote hi teacher, knowledge test karne wale hote hi yeh meter. Inki data mein bhi pyar chupa tha, Future ka saar chupa tha. Aaj hum jo hi karan aap hi, isiliye izzat ke hakdar aap hi. Maa ke baad mere guru aap hi, jeevan ke jo path sikhaye who insaan aap hi. Isiliye maa ke baad aata apka sathan, jo jeevan sawar de who paye ucch sathan

There are two things my beloved teacher Monica Mendes taught me in school :
1. Never be Afraid to Make Mistakes.
She said mistakes will teach me that it is common to keep making mistakes as they are the best ways to learn. Its only human to make mistakes and they contribute considerably towards ones overall personal development. Making mistakes will teach me to be humble, help me discover who I am and live a life without regrets. Mistakes, in the end, will provide excellent learning opportunities.
2. "In the End, You Control Your Own Life"
This may have been irrelevant during my very young years, but once I truly came of age, I realized that what my teacher told me about choice and having control of my own destiny was true. A good teacher will always tell us that it is up to us to make a difference and that by our own choice and free will, can we truly choose the path or destiny we wish to pursue.
Today after following her advice, I am now very successful tmy career and personal life

This is how my favourite teacher Lily Dsouza innovated teaching techniques to make learning fun: 1. She incorporated Mystery Into my Lessons She incorporated a sense of surprise and mystery into my lessons. When she was about to unveil a new lesson, she gave me a new clue each day up until the last day before the start of the lesson. 2. She Never Repeated Classroom Material For this activity, she would make me draw a pyramid in my notebook and write down three things I've learned, two things I thought were interesting, and one question I still have. 3. Creating Classroom Games Her belief was that Games are also a great way to keep lessons interesting. If I needed to remember my spelling words, she conducted a spelling bee or math bee a contest in which participants are eliminated when they misspell a word. 4. She gave me Choices My teacher found it to be effective by offering her students the ability to make our own choices when it comes to learning. Choice can be a powerful motivator because it helps to foster student interest and independence. 5. She used Technology Children love electronics, so she tried try incorporating it into our overall teaching strategy. Instead of standing in front of the room and lecturing, she used a Smartboard interactive display. 6. She Didn't Take Teaching too Seriously She would loosen up a bit and acknowledge that her students had different interests and learning styles than her own. 7. She made our Lessons Interactive She made learning interactive by creating hands-on lessons that involve students every step of the way. 8. She Related Material to our Students' Lives She created a real-world connection to what her students were learning. This gave us a better understanding of why we needed to learn what she was teaching. 9. Flip Your Lessons The flipped classroom has been gaining in popularity since the term "flipped" entered the broader education world in 2012. Students in a flipped classroom were able to work at our own pace (which is great fordifferentiated learning) and engage with their peers in a more interactive, meaningful way when we were in the classroom. 10. She Thought Outside the Box She would Invite a guest speaker, go on afield trip, or take learning outdoors. Her beliefs were that when you try something new and different, there's a good chance that her students would respond positively

All my teachers are special for me
To name just one favourite.....
Is an uphill task & unfair deal
They all taught me to read and write
And recognise my numbers and alphabets right
They all have a big hand
In shaping up my career bright
They motivated me to dream , aspire and grow
My grandparents, parents, family & life
Are also my inspiring teachers
They have all taught me to walk witb dignity
And speak what is right
Hardwork, perseverance, courage, confidence & determination
Is what I have always learnt from them
