It Takes a Village to Support a New Mom!

I had a very risky pregnancy. My uterus was a low one and there was immense fear of miscarriage. To ensure a safe delivery I quit my job as teacher, I was under best rest from my third month till the ninth. I ate foods rich in iron so that I did not suffer from low haemoglobin levels. Mine was a full term, safe delivery with my baby weighing 3.5 kgs and I am lactating her sufficiently. Motherhood has truly been a blessing for me!

On National Safe Motherhood Day, according to my perspective, following few steps to be taken into consideration for health, happiness and safety during motherhood journey. First and foremost, we can't change the fact that enormous things are out of control like elders, relatives, visitors won't take care about any hygein. We have to let go and tolerate their behaviour due to egocentric society. Second, It's an immense pressure for a mother for whom to believe and which advise to follow, but by following Doctor she could find certain ways. Third, nutritious and healthy intake food helps to develop strong immune system to both. Fourth, infant wants are limited. They are love, hug, care, secure lap, timely feed. Once grown up, they feel secure and safe when proper concern during their early stage is taken care of. Fifth, happiness is within us. Mother has a power to conquer stress and feel happy with child's Prank. Throughout motherhood journey, it is not an easy task to remain calm and be happy but it has to be learn sooner or later to view a beautiful picture.

Wash your hands before handling your baby. Newborns don't have a strong immune system yet, Make sure that everyone who handles your baby has clean hands. newborn baby needs to be fed every 2 to 3 hours. If you're breastfeeding, give your baby the chance to nurse about 1015 minutes at each breast. If you're formula-feeding, your baby will most likely take about 23 ounces at each feeding, start by prepping for the next feeding as soon as the previous one is over. For example, after an 10 p.m. feeding, get ready for the 1 a.m. one by prepping whatever you need for feeding and putting out fresh drinking water for yourself so you dont have anything to think about in the middle of the night, When your baby cries, you can comfort her by patting her back in a heartbeat-like rhythm... it helps her/him relax if she/he crying from insecurity,Make sure your baby has spending time alone with dad, his touch and feeling are different than yours, A bath two or three times a week in the winter and daily bath in summer is good for all age baby,Remember that your newborn is not ready for rough play be careful, Diaper rash is a common concern... My personal recommendation is use diaper at least after 5 to 6 month, To prevent or heal diaper rash, try these tips, Gently clean the area with mild soap (don't use wipes if possible) and then apply a very thick layer of a good diaper rash cream, Let the baby go unDiaper for part of the day...it is letting batter for baby.
