Good Morning! It is natural as a new parent you are concerned about your little one. The likelihood of autism running in the family is not very high. Enjoy your 3 month old boy! Take him for regular vaccines and periodic checks with your pediatrician. When kids are around 16-18 months, we can use a screening questionnaire called M-CHAT. It is available online. If that throws up any concerns we then do a full evaluation with an aim to start early intervention. Hope this helps.
