#SummerVacationHolidays. Since my 5 year old is the only child he gets bored being at home and lest he takes to mobiles and tabs i keep him engaged with activities. He has a keen interest in cooking so in the vacations I keep aside sometime where we both can experiment a recipe. I try to be his role model and playmate keeping him engaged and motivated. I have given him a lot of craft and drawing essentials to explore colors and art work. Football, swimming, cycling are to keep him energetic and sportive. Going to nearby places to learn about the place history and culture keeps him happy and gleeful. Activity boxes like FirstCry I tell Kit and Flinto boxes have got us creative and developed his intellect. Here are some pics of what we are doing together this summer

In summer vacation my children spend their time in their granny's house.They visit all their relatives, enjoy time with their grandparents and cousins. They become independent and allow them to take responsibilities. They help their grandparents in doing daily house chores like cleaning ,cooking,sweeping and also gardening .They learn local languages with their cousins,doing creative activities like jewellery making,photo frame making,pebble art, mahendi designs .With their grand parents ..they learn about names of different plants ,seeds etc They also engage their time by playing indoor and outdoor games ,cycling with their cousins,Visiting family funtions ,and also having fun by going trips .

Like me, my daughter has great interest in gardening. She loves to help me in gardening activities. Whenever I need to plant saplings, she is always ready to help me. I think it's the best way to make her engaged with this activity. She can learn new skills, have fun, play and develop self-confidence by spending time in the garden tending plants, digging soil, getting dirty, creating things and watching plants grow. I think it is not only the best way to spend the time with her but also raising a nature lover early with this green activity.

My child love to do craft activities. With bits of coloured paper, gum and scissors she does a whole lot of handwork like pen stand, clock, flowers, doll etc. It allows my child to become more independent as she learn to do these things on her own.Through crafting she develops self-control and learn to express herself better. So I am planning to include a lot of craft activities for her. This will keep her engaged for hours without getting bored.
