Holi-Eid Fusion Dessert Contest 2026: Celebrate Festive Flavours with Creative Innovations

Get ready for a delicious celebration of colour, culture, and creativity!

Join our Holi-Eid Fusion Dessert Contest — where festive traditions meet innovation on a plate!

Inviting all bakers 🧑‍🍳, home cooks 👩‍🍳, and dessert lovers to reimagine classic festive flavours from both Holi 🌈 and Eid 🌙 into unforgettable desserts that tell a story of shared joy and culinary creativity.

From the rich spice notes of thandai (a Holi-associated spiced drink) to the floral aromas of rose and gulkand (rose petal preserve), participants are encouraged to blend, twist, and transform these diverse influences into stunning sweet creations. 😋

Whether it’s a thandai-infused cheesecake or a modern reinterpretation using saffron, pistachio, cardamom, and dates (like Eid classic sheer khurma), the goal is to honour both traditions in a single dessert with the spirit of celebration, unity, and festivity.

Contest Focus:
• 🌈 Celebrate the vibrant colours and spices of Holi and the rich festive sweetness of Eid🌙
• 🍰 Encourage culinary fusion of traditional themes with modern twists
• 🍯 Inspire dessert entries that bring together textures, spices, and ingredients iconic to both festivals (e.g., saffron, rose, cardamom, gulkand, pistachio, vermicelli, khoa, etc.).

What to Submit:
• 📜 A creative dessert recipe (with a short description of your inspiration)
• 📸 A beautiful photo or presentation of the final dish

Judging Criteria:
• 😋 Flavor Fusion (how well Holi and Eid elements are balanced)
• 🖼️ Appearance & Creativity (festive colour, plating, originality)
• 🌍 Cultural Relevance (reflection of both festivals)

🌈✨ Let your imagination run as colourful as Holi and as sweet as Eid! 🌙🎉

Baklava Dates Roll

These fusion baklavas are a great dessert for Holi and Eid. Filled with dry fruits and dates, these turkish delights are a yummy treat to take our festivities to the next level.

Grind pistachios and almonds. Mix it with dates and form the filling. Delectably delicious baklavas are a unique holi twist to the traditional gujiyas which have gujiya like texture and taste as well. The addition of dates and dry fruits gives it the richness of Eid.
