One thing I am doing differently this school year is relaxing a little more because I know my child is in safe hands at The Brigade School. Truly one of the best schools in Bangalore!

PARENT TO PARENT PEP TALK

Congratulations to the parents. They have successfully been promoted to the next class. Jokes apart. A new academic year has begun and your child is going through various emotions. It may be as simple as a section change or just the anxiety of facing a new unfamiliar classroom or new friends or new teachers.

As much as they have the excitement of having a new bag and new books, the hidden fear of new teachers, new subjects, more portions to study also exists. They suddenly feel very mature yet they remain a child at heart.

As parents, we need to support them and motivate the child because some children voice their feelings but most of them bottle it up. Spend time everyday with your child asking them what are the fun things they did in school that day. Don't overwhelm them with questions like - what's the homework? Let's run to this class. Let's go to this tution..etc etc. .Let the child understand what he/she is learning at school. It's ok if the child wants to sleep for sometime or listen to music.

Unnecessary pressure will only demotivate your child. Talk with them, be their friend. Teach them the importance of consistent hard work, importance of doing homework, encourage them to be an all-rounder instead of a bookworm.

Let your child have a holistic development rather than just a child who excels just academically.

All the best 👍😊. God bless all parents and their children.
