Sometimes our children struggle to understand certain concepts and processes in science. In such situation audio-visual pieces available o YouTube ca be very helpful to clear the concept and enable the child to understand the topic better. For eg, children get confused between velocity and speed, which is very lucidly explained in certain videos easily available online. Even tough concepts like DNA replication, etc are beautifully explained through animated lectures on YouTube. Having said that, we as parents and children must ensure that our children do not become dependent on these study aids, without first making an effort to understand the concept.

@Meena P I agree with you meena. Earlier the children only had their teachers to clarify their doubts but now as technology has taken over our life everything can be found and concepts cleared . I too have felt that advancement of science and technology has been a boon to us all.

@Meena P Hello, children dependency on technology is quite common in today's technological era. Your issue has been explained precisely and clearly. To make them understand the concept, first try to explain our view point, give time to explain their view point about the particular topic, and then open YouTube or technological assistance and associate, learn in detail about that topic.

@Meena P Bang on Kanisha! It is great to see parents like Simi and you resonate with my idea. Being a teacher, quite often I am in a dilemma about whether to use audio-visual aids or to continue using the conventional teaching techniques. I have come to realise that a little bit of everything actually makes learning fun!
