My son is 10-years-old and he is afraid of the dark! I get woken up every night if he wants to pee. And I can't ask him to get me something from his room after 7.p.m if the lights are off; This, even if the pathway leading to his room is brightly lit.I have a 3-year-old who obviously has her fears. I don't want her to grow up to be afraid of the dark. How do I help both my children?

As children, we have all had fears. Fear of ghosts, big animals, and so on. One of the most common fears during early childhood is the fear of darkness. How can you help your child overcome this fear?
