Although most of us believe that both men and women have equal rights, things are different in the real world. A lot of women continue to bear the brunt of sexism—that is, discrimination based on an individual's gender.

Sexism usually manifests as not giving equal opportunities, and curtailing the rights and freedom. According to Andrea Dworkin, a radical feminist and writer, "Sexism is the foundation on which all tyranny is built. Every social form of hierarchy and abuse is modeled on male-over-female domination."
