ParentCircle, ParentcircleParentCircle

The desperate effort to find and rescue a team of young footballers in Thailand from a flooded cave, which has gripped the world, is over with all the boys and the coach rescued from the cave.

On Saturday 23 June, 12 members of the Wild Boar soccer team, aged 11-16, entered the Tham Luang cave system in Thailand's Chiang Rai Province along with their 25-year-old football coach after a team practice. Little did they realise that they would be trapped inside the cave due to heavy rains.

The fate of the boys received global attention and the Australian government sent a group of specialists to assist in the rescue operation. All over the world, children and adults were glued to their television sets, hoping for the safety of the Wild Boars.

However, showing maturity beyond their years, the boys stayed steadfast and calm by meditating and never losing hope even as their parents prayed for their safety. The trapped youngsters showed amazing resilience and even wrote small notes to their parents telling them not to worry.

Go through this ClipBook that looks at this fascinating saga of how the boys came to be trapped in the cave, how they spent their days and finally, the rescue operation.
