Super Blue Blood Moon: All You Need To Know

You might have witnessed a supermoon, a lunar eclipse or, even on those rare occasions, a red moon. But, have you ever seen it all happen together? That’s how special the lunar event on January 31, 2018 is!

Visible from most parts of the world, including India, this event has created a lot of interest among the moon watchers. For those living in the US, this kind of an event took place 150 years ago, but in India, we got to witness a similar lunar event in 1982.

While NASA will stream the event live, space enthusiasts across India are organising events to make the viewing even more special. While Nehru Planetarium at the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library in Mumbai will organise an event, “A moonrise in Eclipse!,” SPACE India, will also organise events across India for people to view this rare occurrence.
