Rainwater Harvesting: Why, How And More

ParentCircle

The ever-increasing population and overexploitation of natural resources, especially water, is fast turning many parts of Earth into an inhospitable zone.

Of all the water available on our planet, only 2.5% to 2.7% is fit for consumption and use by humans. The remaining 97% is saline. And yet, most of us are careless with how we use water and do almost nothing to replenish our water resources.

Rainwater harvesting is an easy of ensuring that we use every raindrop to the fullest. There is archaeological evidence to show that this method was followed even centuries ago in our country, as well as in different parts of the world.

With advancement in technology, the methods have also become more efficient. Nowadays, most houses can divert the rainwater from their roof to reservoirs.

In this ClipBook, we focus on the conservation of water, specifically through rainwater harvesting. We discuss the importance of both and how you can teach your child about these issues.
