Countries Which Celebrate Independence Day With India

August 15th is a historic day for us, Indians. It is a day which represents freedom, liberation and self-governance. It is the day when India was finally set free from the clutches of the British rule. 

However, it isn't just Indians who celebrate on August 15th. Did you know that five other nations are also celebrating independence on this date? Pakistan attained independence just a day earlier than India. The Republic of Congo, Liechtenstein, North Korea, South Korea and Bahrain all celebrate August 15th as independence day.

Of course, they all achieved independence in different years. But still, it's an amazing coincidence that we Indians can celebrate independence with so many other people across the world.
