Celebrating The Girl Child

ParentCircle, ParentcircleParentCircle

According to the United Nations (UN), more than 62 million girls around the world have no access to education. Worldwide, girls in the age group of 5 to 14 years, spend 160 million hours more on household chores than boys of the same age do. The National Girl Child Day was conceived to extend support and give new opportunities to girls in the country. It is observed to raise awareness about the inequalities that girls face in India.

For every oppressed girl, we have one who has faced adversity and come out triumphant. The impressive women featured in this ClipBook have reached great heights only because they dared to be different and to defy stereotypes. Read about them and get inspired.
