“I could never have gone far in any science because on the path of every science the lion Mathematics lies in wait for you.”

― C.S. Lewis, Surprised by Joy: The Shape of My Early Life

Indeed, to some students, maths can seem like a lion, as mentioned in the above quote. With mathematics, there is rarely a middle ground. You either love maths or hate it. If you love maths, there are several excellent online resources where you can have fun with numbers. But if you need to practice more, there are also numerous websites to hone your math skills as well.

One of the leading websites for learning maths is The Math Forum. It offers excellent educational content, several learning resources and interactive projects, and is a helpful community of maths enthusiasts.

Mathway is another great online maths learning resource. According to their mission statement, “Mathway's long-term goal is to provide step-by-step solutions to all math problems, using the simplest interface possible, across the most commonly used platforms available.”

For interactive math lessons, there is Math Goodies – mostly aimed at middle school children. Math Playground is for math lovers and those interested in enhancing their number skills. This popular website is full of logic puzzles and maths games. On this website, children can work through math problems at a pace that suits them.

Some other websites to learn maths are aplusmath.com, coolmath.com, mathplanet.com, purplemath.com and mathisfun.com.
