Education is more important today than it ever was before. The 19th century saw an increase in the number of individuals receiving primary education; in the 20th century, secondary education became a must; and now, in the 21st century, going to college and getting a degree is important for anyone who wishes for a successful career.

However, over the years there have been a few successful individuals managed to carve out a successful despite not getting. These include tech-entrepreneurs like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs and actors such as Johnny Depp and Akshay Kumar. 

So, while education is important, it isn't the only determinant of success. These great people have shown that grit, determination and creativity count just as much, if not more.
