I usually read bedtime stories for my daughter and it invariably is a fairy tale. She enjoys it a lot... & I like reading these for her, as these are stories that I grew up on. But I was reading an article in Forbes recently, that these stories encourages girls to be damsels in distress whose role it is to look good and wait for a handsome prince to swoop in, ‘save her’ and bring value to her self and her path. So should I change the books we read or am I over thinking?!!!
