Do you think we have stopped being thankful for the little joys of life? Share with us your thoughts and let's recollect those little pleasures!
It’s always good to remind ourselves that simple things that we may ignore as insignificant in daily life are actually boons. Only when we are sick, we realise the value of health and only we lose something, we realise the value of that particular thing. So, as they say, practising gratitude in daily life is something we should remind ourselves all the time.
For instance, while decorating the Christmas tree with my child this year, it suddenly occurred to me that when he was a baby he was more interested and excited about the ornaments as toys than decorating the tree neatly like now and making sure the lights were working. He’s definitely more helpful now but every age and every situation has its own charm and beauty. Just recently I noticed that children in my neighbourhood were excited about something and I couldn’t stop myself from taking a pic (pic of them observing a big grasshopper with excitement) and sharing with their moms. They were totally engaged in that moment. It was fun to watch. There is so much we can learn from children -to find joy in the little things in our day to day life and try to be happy in the present moment.
Thank you for understanding all the times I haven’t said thank you. I appreciate you every moment of every day, even–or especially–when I don’t tell you so. Thank you for the times you’ve said thank you to me. You may forget those two little words as soon as they’ve left your mouth but they are what keep me going when it all gets a bit much.❤️
Your eyes meet mine over the tops of their heads. A shared smile
I think that my kids have given me several wonderful #Khulke Jiyo moment but there are few those ones which are etched in my mind. The first time when my daughter while dancing on a stage pulled me in and made me to dance along with her like a free child and then there was this moment when she tried to cook food for me when I was suffering from high fever and there was no one other than her at home to take care of me. Her imperfect flat chapatis tasted may better than my perfectly rounded ones as they had her love, care and affection for me and then there is one special moment with my son who was playing in the sand and writing something when he was just 4 years old ans as I went close to him.I saw the words "Mom I love you"scribbled in the sand. these moments will always remain etched in my most sweetest memories as they taught me three very important lessons in life (1) Be what you want to be (2) care for your love ones (3) experiencing your love for some one really makes the difference. I feel proud every m,moment to have such lovely kids who taught me to live life "Khulke Jiyo"
Yes, Materialistic driven society has changed human values. Gratitude and contentment are the blessings in form of human values. Comparisons, jealously has replaced many things and humans are never satisfied and grateful for little joys and pleasures in their lives. By applying little pleasures and thankfulness on consistent basis I found out Peace within. Herewith I am sharing my thought:
1. I explore my creative ideas with children, their happiness expands my heartfelt gratitude.
2. We have created a group, in that we share pictures, videos, share our ideas, celebrate Birthday by assembling at one place. This joy provides us tremendous peace.
3. We gather daily for an hour, we thank each other, we do activities related to let go, move on, patience, confidence, personality, kindness and so on. We enjoy by singing, dancing, acting, doing yoga, laughing loudly.
Hence, I am thankful to attempt this topic by expressing my joy, pleasure, gratitude in doing pratical activities with children on daily basis.
This photo was taken at the time of birthday party of my younger daughter. All are our immediate family members were present inspite of their busy schedule. This party was a family get together and all grandchildren of my mother in law was captured in one single photo . This type of family gettogethers brings millions of happiness.
