My husband never enters the kitchen to help us. My teen daughter always compares him with her friend's dad, and complains as to why he is not helping. My husband gets offended if she tell him to help us in kitchen. How can I deal with it?
@Devi You are right Devi. At the same time, Dads rarely comes into the kitchen. Asking him what stops him from helping will invite a bigger trouble in front of her daughter. Dads should change for the greater good of the family.
@Smitha Narayanan The talk should be a couple talk not in front of the kids. Sometimes open talk solves many issues without draining our energy. As a dad of a daughter I feel they have the love for their daughter and wants a partner who can help their daughter in all endeavors. It is time for reflection and sometimes moms need to bring some basic rules to involve all the members of the families to pitch in in the house work. It is high time, we celebrate international women’s day and pass on wishes and messages. It is time for action!
