Patience - a blessing every parent should have
This was an experience I had few months ago.My toddler fell down from the cot and got a deep cut in his head. My husband becomes nervous as soon as he sees blood. Being a doctors daughter I have to stable to handle the situation. I called the pediatrician and he suggested to see him at 8:30 pm in the night. My brave boy was crying badly, it was a deep cut. The doc suggested to take him to the hospital, we reached the hospital at 9 pm and the hospital RMO checked him and put a stitch Rather a stapled him and gave him a list of medicines which includes pain killers and antacids and antibiotics .the pediatrician gave him a different antibiotic. Things becomes so complicated.. Parents becomes confused about which one to buy and give.
When I was upset with all this chaos finally I called my father and whatever he said I followed. With all this mess my Little boy was quite stable. When the doctor was cleaning the placing and putting the stitch he showed full patience. I was shivering.
These situation in life shows you how to be patient with everything. Most of the time I am very impatient, I want things to happen jaldi jaldi. But life is not a car.. That of you want you can accelerate the speed of it and reach the destination first. No dear, Zindagi ke sath jeena padta hai.
If you dont accept the downs of life you cant handle success. My father always says life is a reality not a dream. So true, same as the weather.. it changes from gloomy to a shining day. Live life.. Chase your dreams Be patient.. Love yourself and your dear ones!

20/7/19, 8.45pm, taught me life important lesson from my toughest situation.
My husband and mother-in-law gone to market, I was alone with my son. My son was playing with cards. I thought he is busy playing so will go to washroom and come in few minutes. I gone but he came after me, he is just one and half year old, he was awaiting for me and unknowingly he closed the stopper from outside. The toughest situation happened. I was locked inside. Main door was locked. My husband phone was at home. My phone was in charging. Now comes a turning point. Neighbours supported me in listening the problem, solving it by climbing ladder towards balcony. Meanwhile, my husband and mother-in-law came, husband climbed the ladder, balcony gate was also closed, so my husband patiently open the glass of that gate with dismiss and then unlocked the stopper. My son non-stop cried. I used my legs, hands body to push the door to the extreme. Right now it's paining heavily. I learned from this situation that no matter what, it's to be deal with strong mind and patience. Second important lesson I learned that whenever we are alone with kids, we have to keep washroom door open. I was grateful to have neighbours and husband at right time but I thought about another situation that what if alone mothers raise their child? If this situation may happen in foreign country where neighbours don't know each other, how could have mother face that problem?

    barghavi Jul 22 2019

@barghavi This is such a valid point, never thought of the troubles such that a single parent could have in this regard. I have been living with my in-laws and my parents too keep visiting often so I have never had to face or even think of keeping my child alone for sometime. Even when I am going to work, my in-laws who are extremely loving and supportive take care of my child. The very thought of the situation gave me goosebumps but thank God with your courage and the support of your loved ones you could tide over the situation!

    TIP OF THE DAY!

    BE YOUR CHILD'S ROLE MODEL:

Your own behaviour is the best to guide your child. Every day, your actions are noticed by your child on knowing how to behave. Your actions will have to complement what you are saying to your kid. For example, if you want your child to say 'thank you', say it yourself. If you dont want your child to raise her voice, you have to speak quietly and gently.
