From gorging on burgers, dirtying the sofa, being a patient listener to the confused diaper changer, dads are indeed livewires. A big salute to the wonder dads!

“Any man can be a father, it takes someone special to be a dad” - Anne Geddes
Who wants an Iron Man in their life, when they can have super Dad at home? Most children believe that their fathers are superheroes. And then they grow up and know reality!
Superheroes or not…there are some duties that daddys are always ready for. Picture a mother complaining about her spouse, in whose care she had left her naughty little brat for a few days. Instead of taking on the kitchen duties, all the father did was order greasy fast-food from the neighbourhood joint for lunch and dinner.
There is no doubt that being a father is not easy. In fact, it is a lot of hard work. After all, you need all the energy in the world to keep up with the children. And to keep up with their endless questions. It is a different matter that sometimes when you are lying on the sofa at home and your little one bombards you with queries, all she hears after a point is a snort-like sound (yes, that’s you snoring)!
One thing dads have is a lot of patience with children. That’s only when they are not trying to pull their hair out! Fathers can also get super clumsy and their kids get irritated with them for it. One friend told me how her dad was frazzled when he was called to meet her school principal. In his nervousness, he knocked down the computer in the Principal’s office!
Uber father or not, he may run 10 miles away at the smell of baby poop…but he still loves you to bits. Happy Father’s Day to all dads!
