For 24 long years, Sachin Tendulkar would wake up each morning, pray and promise to be a better individual, both on the field and off it. He was a deeply spiritual man and yes, one of the most successful cricketers of all time. He was meticulous, organised, respectful, honest, gritty and most importantly, a positive influence on everyone around him. Like former India cricket coach Greg Chappell said, Sachin is a ‘spiritual leader’. Don’t we all want our children to grow up like Sachin?
