Children struggle with reading for a variety of reasons. Environmental causes range from lack of access to reading materials, to poor language development and hearing problems. Other deeper causes include dyslexia, attention problems and auditory processing difficulties. Summer is a good time to evaluate your child for reading difficulties, and to get him involved in special activities to help him read better.
