Martial Arts For Your Child

In our Learning Series this month, we look at two forms of martial arts that are gaining immensely in popularity in recent times – Taekwondo and our very own Kalaripayattu.

We grew up watching martial arts movies like Shaolin Temple and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and most recently Karate Kid, where Will Smith’s son Jaden Smith came up with a stirring performance. Martial arts are not just meant for the ‘reel life’; they can be a part of your child’s real life too. They are known to bolster confidence, inculcate self-discipline and improve focus and concentration, to name a few benefits.
