“Always march towards progress in life. Never look back. Never regret what has gone by. Regretting mistakes made in the past will only dampen our enthusiasm. Instead, it is better to look forward to the future with courage and conviction. Never ever cheat anyone – whether it is for money or anything else. Learn to differentiate between what you need and what you don’t” – these are the golden principles I learnt from my parents. They also taught me how to be successful and stand ahead of the crowd. It was only later in life, as I waded through the rough waters of entrepreneurship, that I realised how important and influential my parents’ principles were. And over time, as I became successful in business, I also understood the relevance of all the values I had learnt from them.
My advice to my children is, “Let your dreams be always grand and gigantic. Apply a lot of dedication in whatever you do, and you’ll certainly attain great heights. Be unique always and stand ahead of the crowd. At the same time, never worry about past failures; be prepared to face the future with all the strength you have.” This holds good for every child.
