With schools shut, parks out-of-bounds and childcare inaccessible, frustrated children and harried parents are turning to screens for solutions. Here are simple tips to manage screen time.

With schools still closed because of the lockdown, children are now learning through online classes. And because of social distancing, they’re forced to depend on screens not only for learning, but also for entertainment and interactions with their relatives and friends. Needless to say, existing screen limits have been thrown off-balance by our increased reliance on screens. Before the pandemic, many parents were concerned about their children playing online games or spending time on social media. Not surprisingly, parents are more worried now. Digital devices are helping us maintain some semblance of normality, and yet we don’t want our children constantly glued to the screens.
