Diwali is more than just a festival, more than a celebration of the victory of good over evil. Diwali is a beautiful journey of several traditions, customs and stories that date back to eternity. Many of us are familiar with the epic story, Ramayana, and how Diwali is celebrated to mark the victorious return of Rama to his kingdom after the defeat of the evil, ten-headed Ravana. But, did you know that each region in this great country has a story to tell about why the festival is celebrated? What better way to connect with your child this festive season than through these stories? We have put together a collection of 27 such stories for you. Ranging from classic and interesting, to strange and intriguing, these stories will make your child appreciate the festival of lights even more.
