Like any other parent, Anitha and Karan were busy checking out a suitable curriculum for their five-year-old daughter, Shambavi. While they had come across the usual suspects CBSE, State Boards and ICSE, what caught their attention was the Cambridge method, a relatively new entrant on the Indian scene. There are scores of parents out there who are keen to understand the ‘emerging’ curriculum options, Cambridge being one of them. With more than 10,000 schools operating in 160 countries around the world, the Cambridge curriculum develops learners who are confident, responsible, reflective, innovative and engaged. But, with almost all the available curriculum modules claiming to do the same, how different is Cambridge? We evaluate this in our Curriculum Series this month.
